In this ongoing test series between Australia and India, India’s all-around performance in the first three tests is getting appreciation from all around the world. After a long time in abroad, the Indian team has won 2 out of first three matches and stepping into the 4th test match to seal this series by a 3-1 victory.
From the very first test match, every Indian batsman, as well as a bowler, performed excellently marvellous that it took the team into the position where it is at the present moment.
In the first two matches, Indian openers, Murali Vijay and KL Rahul failed to perform and due to which Mayank Agarwal got an opportunity to play his debut match in the boxing day test. Mayank seized his opportunity and scored 76 runs in his very first inning. He later scored 42 runs in his second innings and ended his match after scoring 118 runs with an average of 59. More importantly, he gave a good base to the Indian batting line-up which is required in the 4th test as well if India wants to win this test series.
India’s middle order is playing a class apart at present and creating a major difference between both sides. Australian middle order is nowhere close to India’s middle order. All three pillars of the Indian team i.e. Chesteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane performed remarkably in first three games in which Pujara scored 2 centuries, Kohli scored 1 and Rahane scored 198 runs with 2 fifties under his name. To win the fourth and the final test match in Sydney, all three batsmen need to play well as they played in the first three games.
As far as bowling is concerned, as per experts, this is India’s best bowling attack ever to play in Australia. All three fast bowlers, Shami, Bumrah and Ishant Sharma outclassed the Aussie batting line up with their lethal deliveries and succeeded to left their mark in 3 games. If Ashwin will get to play the 4th game, he will surely give additional strength to our bowling department.
As Rohit Sharma is absent for the 4th test match, Kl Rahul will come back in the side and Hanuma Vihari will be shifted back to his regular batting position.
This is India’s best chance to win its first ever test series in Australia. As far as the present team is concerned, this team is looking quite balanced and a top favourite to win the 4th test match in Sydney.
